System and method for modifying the operational state of a telecommunication application using conversational processing US Patent: #US11575784B1          Granted: 2/7/2023

A method for computer control of online social interactions based on conversation processing. A portion of a conversation with a given user is recorded, stored in memory, and processed so as to influence subsequent interactions. These may include audio or other contextualized annunciations of subsequent telephone calls. Other modes addressing conversational processing for social purposes can result in interwoven conversation guided among threads of interest, advertising and incented participation of conversational content and placement. The invention is capable of implementation in telecommunications systems such as cellular, local exchange, and VOIP, and in combination with other forms of internet-based telecommunication, including smart phones and adaptive forums chat rooms.

System and Method for Collaborative Conversational AI US Patent: #US11431660B1     Granted: 8/30/2022

A method for collaborative conversational artificial intelligence (CCAI). The invention discloses an architecture wherein members of the disclosed system participate in collaborative conversations with one or more AI and human “subminds” connected via a forum, including conversing in natural language and facilitated by one or more “facilitators”. CCAI Applications include the creation of widely extensible evolving modular polylogical groups that are capable of collaboration with sentient beings, collaborative control of devices, service worker interfaces, hybrid representations of sentient beings (including via “reconveyance” of conversation segments), in collaborations that may include, exclude or require human or AI participation. Contextual Conversation Processing in Telecommunication Applications US Patent: #20140161250     Granted: 11/29/2016

A method for generating a ring tone for a given caller based on a prior conversation with that caller. A portion of a conversation with a given caller is recorded and stored in memory as a ring tone. When a subsequent call is received from the same caller, identified by caller ID, the ring tone is played, alerting the user to the incoming call as well as the context of their prior communication. In alternative embodiments of the invention, a prior textual or video conversation is used as the basis for a ring tone, and/or the ‘ring tone’ is delivered by other than audio means. The invention is capable of implementation in telecommunications systems such as cellular, local exchange, and VOIP, and in combination with other forms of internet-based telecommunication. Download PDF

Method and System for Notification and Telecommunications Management China Patent: #102017585     Granted: 5/6/2015

The invention relates to enhancement of notification. A user is notified by means of a communication device of a request of initiation communication and an alarm why a caller calls out (such as repeating one part of a former telephone call of a present caller as a ring tone, or simultaneously displaying a former email sent by a calling person with a standard ring tone). A system and a method are disclosed, wherein the data or part of the data relevant with communication events are captured and stored. When the same person identified by ID receives the follow-up communication events, the data obtained from the first communication is used to contextualize the communication, to alarm the user that the communication events and the context of the former communication are sent, and other use.

System and Method for Adaptive Forums Communication US Patent: #7424516     Granted: 9/9/2008

A system and method for adaptive forums provides multiple communication forums in a single instance of a web browser application that actively adapts to conversations therein. In a preferred embodiment, a server system acts as a master controller of a plurality of communication forums. An agent running in the background on the server system monitors the conversations of each forum. When the conversations of different forums sufficiently converge, a temporary communication link is formed. A communication link may be a two-way real-time interaction between users of different forums or simply automated responses using messages stored in a database and associated with the linked forum. Furthermore, establishing the link may entail opening another communication forum on the client computer or directing the messages to a currently open forum. Once a user has connected to one forum controlled by the server system, access to all the other forums controlled by the server system is provided. Embodiments of the present invention provide increased usability over conventional single forum communication, thereby providing users with quick and efficient access to vast amounts of information. Download PDF
