Patent TitleSystem and method for contextualized communication events and notifications for project management based on conversation processing
Patent NumberUS PATENT: #US11922930 B1
StatusGranted: 3/7/2024

Patent Abstract A system and method for contextualized communication events and notifications for project management based on conversation processing. A portion of a conversation with a given user is recorded, stored in memory, and processed so as to influence subsequent interactions. These may include audio or other contextualized annunciations of related information and expectations concerning project responsibilities, schedules, and dependencies. Subsequent meetings and telephone calls may chivvy the project along through reminders of potential compliance or noncompliance with stated and accepted assignments. Other modes addressing conversational processing for social purposes can result in interwoven conversation guided among threads of interest, advertising and incented participation of conversational content and placement. The invention is capable of implementation in telecommunications systems such as cellular, local exchange, and VOIP, and in combination with other forms of internet-based telecommunication, including smart phones, conferencing systems, virtual meetings, adaptive forums, chat rooms and other social media.

Patent AbstractA method for generating a ring tone for a given caller based on a prior conversation with that caller. A portion of a conversation with a given caller is recorded and stored in memory as a ring tone. When a subsequent call is received from the same caller, identified by caller ID, the ring tone is played, alerting the user to the incoming call as well as the context of their prior communication. In alternative embodiments of the invention, a prior textual or video conversation is used as the basis for a ring tone, and/or the ‘ring tone’ is delivered by other than audio means. The invention is capable of implementation in telecommunications systems such as cellular, local exchange, and VOIP, and in combination with other forms of internet-based telecommunication.

Patent TitleMethod and System for Notification and Telecommunications Management
Patent NumberChina Patent: #102017585
StatusGranted: 5/6/2015
PDF LinkDownload PDF
Patent AbstractThe invention relates to enhancement of notification. A user is notified by means of a communication device of a request of initiation communication and an alarm why a caller calls out (such as repeating one part of a former telephone call of a present caller as a ring tone, or simultaneously displaying a former email sent by a calling person with a standard ring tone). A system and a method are disclosed, wherein the data or part of the data relevant with communication events are captured and stored. When the same person identified by ID receives the follow-up communication events, the data obtained from the first communication is used to contextualize the communication, to alarm the user that the communication events and the context of the former communication are sent, and other use.

Patent TitleSystem and Method for Adaptive Forums Communication
Patent NumberUS Patent: #7424516 B2
StatusGranted: 9/9/2008
PDF LinkDownload PDF
Patent AbstractA system and method for adaptive forums provides multiple communication forums in a single instance of a web browser application that actively adapts to conversations therein. In a preferred embodiment, a server system acts as a master controller of a plurality of communication forums. An agent running in the background on the server system monitors the conversations of each forum. When the conversations of different forums sufficiently converge, a temporary communication link is formed. A communication link may be a two-way real-time interaction between users of different forums or simply automated responses using messages stored in a database and associated with the linked forum. Furthermore, establishing the link may entail opening another communication forum on the client computer or directing the messages to a currently open forum. Once a user has connected to one forum controlled by the server system, access to all the other forums controlled by the server system is provided. Embodiments of the present invention provide increased usability over conventional single forum communication, thereby providing users with quick and efficient access to vast amounts of information.
